WHO WE ARE
Yaye Dib Dance is a community of artists dedicated to promoting African arts and culture, through education, professional practice, development and creative collaborations.
Yaye means 'mother' in the Senegalese language, Wolof, and was the inspiration for the name, taken from the dance company Yaye Dib Dance (formerly Yaye Dib Sabar) established in 2010 by Artistic Director, Diene Sagna, named in memory of his mother, Yaye Dib.

YAYE DIB DANCE COMPANY
Yaye Dib Dance are a professional dance company based in the UK, Germany and Senegal, founded by Artistic Director, Diene Sagna in 2010.
The company's style is influenced by West African traditional and modern dance with contemporary influences, telling stories through movement and music.
Yaye Dib Dance perform and deliver dance and music workshops globally.

Dance & Drum Music Festival
JUMPforJOY is a festival that was launched in London, UK in 2012 in memory of Diene Sagna's late mother and as a way of celebrating West African arts and culture and uniting the community across the world. The festival ran for 8 years in London before celebrating its 9th year in Essen, after Diene's move to Germany. After a successful 10th year celebrated in Senegal, the next JUMPforJOY will take place in Bonn, Germany.

YAYE DIB TV
YAYE DIB TV is an audiovisual production that collaborates with artists to produce and deliver performing arts, new media art, film, photography and interactive arts.
Still in its infancy, we seek to find creative ways to reach a new audience, interact and showcase a new image of Africa through arts, culture and media.
